Our Profile

Mugie Conservancy, a 50,000-acre haven in North-West Laikipia, Kenya, linking Rift Valley and Laikipia Plateau. Home to several endangered species, its diverse landscapes include ridge lines, black cotton soils, and the Ol Keju Losera River. Bordered by Loisaba, Iltungai, and Mukutan, it's a 5-hour drive from Nairobi or a 45-minute flight from Wilson Airport.

Our Vision

Mugie is a leader in northern Kenya for the development and sharing of best practices in ecologically and culturally sensitive landscape connectivity, rangeland management, conservation, rural development and sustainable local economies.

Our Purpose

To connect the Rift Valley and Laikipia Plateau, protect heritage and ecosystems, conserve and restore endangered species and habitats, and sustainably utilize the landscape’s economic potential while promoting conservation knowledge and rangeland management skills.
