The Mugie School

The Mugie Primary School is home to approximately 150 students – both as a day school for the children of Mugie’s employees and a boarding school for children from other areas. It is one of the top performing schools in the region and gives students the opportunity for a comprehensive education – encompassing conservation, health, and life-skills, as well as a supportive and caring community to grow up in. A collaborative effort between Mugie and The Moyo Foundation, ‘Healthy Kids’ classes were started in January 2019, with a mind to encourage health and conservation education in this young generation. The classes, which are led by Mugie’s nurse, Jedidah, or a guest speaker, teach students about topics that range from hygiene to our precious eco-system and the importance of trees.
